Adelanto Prepares for New Asian Investment

Business MeetingPresident Donald Trump’s administration has been working to secure more Asian investment in the United States. If this becomes a reality, Adelanto Mayor Rich Kerr, wants the city to be ready with plenty of available vacant land to entice Asian investors to come to the area. If more businesses start up, that means more jobs for local residents. Kerr asked Adelanto city staff, last month, to look into the option of opening up a section of vacant land on Adelanto’s west side to prepare for any new investors.

It looks like that vision has already started to become a reality with one company coming to Adelanto. A group from Aircore Cookware purchased three properties, totaling approximately 10 acres, near Verbena and Rancho roads. One of the three properties will be for a 100,000-square-foot Aircore Cookware manufacturing plant on 2 ½ acres. Aircore currently has an 80,000-square-foot facility in China. According to the project architect, the other two properties will be for future development. The three properties together are projected to bring approximately 250 full-time jobs to the area and have up to $50 million in investments.
