ed company, Brightline, has recently announced they will form a partnership with Richard Branson and the Virgin Group to develop the high speed rail project connecting Southern California to Las Vegas. The company plans to rename itself Virgin Trains USA. The Virgin Group luckily already has experience with a rail line, in the United Kingdom. They invest in Virgin Trains, a high-speed rail system that has been running for 21 years. The Virgin Group is such a well-known name, and partnering with them will surely benefit Brightline’s high speed rail project by helping to provide access to millions of patrons and more than likely growing the amount of riders coming from other travel sister companies such as Virgin Hotels, Virgin Atlantic, and Virgin Voyages. Virgin Group has decided to make a minority investment in Brightline, which will be managed by Bightline’s executive team and also by associates of Fortress Investment Group LLC.
