San Bernardino’s State of the County Event Highlights ‘Substantial Growth’

As stated in an article in the Victorville Daily Press, March 9, 2017, San Bernardino’s State of the County event focused on strength and economic growth in the area. San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors Chairman Robert Lovingood touched on real estate and job growth during his opening remarks to the crowd at Citizens Business Bank Arena, noting that economy continues to recover from the recession, with 31 percent growth projected over the next 10 years. “With 15,000 new jobs within the past year, San Bernardino has seen substantial growth within the bi-county areas, as well as becoming the fastest growing county in the nation,” Lovingood said. With the county serving as an important hub for logistics and manufacturing, and that sector’s anticipated arrival of automation and robotics, educating the region’s workforce for the highly technical jobs in future warehouses and factories is key, 5th District Supervisor Josie Gonzales said.
