Chip Seal Roadwork Planned in Newberry Springs

As stated in an article in the Victorville Daily Press, April 30, 2018, San Bernardino County Public Works will be completing a surface seal project in the Newberry Springs area. The streets receiving this road treatment are Valley Center Road from Fort Cady Road west to Hereford Road; Silver Valley Road from Hereford Road west to Minneola Road; and Minneola Road from Valley Center Road south to National Trails Highway. Chip sealing will be applied to the road for a better wear surface. The estimated cost of the roadwork is $601,000. The two-step chip seal process takes two to three days to be applied and dried. The county uses this approach on roadways three to four years after they have been resurfaced to protect the new resurface.
