Adelanto Reveals Ambitious Vision for Downtown

As mentioned in the Victorville Daily Press, October 29, 2018, the city recently unveiled its long-term vision for a downtown, an ambitious mixed-use project on the current site of City Hall that would incorporate retail, medical, hospitality and multifamily residential components. Dubbed the Rancho Adelanto City Center, the project would be bordered by Highway 395, Air Expressway, Bellflower Street and Lawson Avenue, according to plans from Redlands-based Miller Architectural Corp. Working for more than two years on the civic center overhaul, city officials envision a beautified and walkable area dotted with marketrate housing, luxury apartments, a medical corridor and community cornerstones like a new City Hall, Sheriff’s and Fire stations, and library. City officials described the project timeline as a “multi-year effort to transform Adelanto.” The Rancho Adelanto City Center is being developed by a limited liability company that purchased five parcels from the city in June 2017, according to San Bernardino County property records. Rancho Adelanto City Center, LLC was registered to Dana Point-based Sorrento Management Group, business filings show. Property records indicated the parcels in total are valued at roughly $464,000.
