Apple Valley Wins Praise From APWA for Yucca Loma Bridge

According to the Victorville Daily Press, November 14, 2017, already the longest concrete span in the Victor Valley, the Yucca Loma Bridge recently earned a new honor when it was named the Outstanding Public Works Project of the Year by the High Desert Branch of the American Public Works Association (APWA). The 1,606-foot bridge officially opened to traffic on May 22, 2017, after a decade of design and construction, according to Town Engineer Brad Miller. The town was among six award recipients at the APWA’s annual Holiday Dinner & Awards ceremony in December 2017.
