Church to Build Apartment Complex in Hesperia

As stated in an article in the Victorville Daily Press, July 4, 2018, the Hesperia City Council approved a zoning amendment that will allow Spirit Filled Family Church to construct apartments on church-owned property. The approved amendment to the Main Street and Freeway Corridor Specific Plan was changed from Neighborhood Commercial to Medium Density Residential to construct a 14-unit apartment complex on 2.1 gross acres located on the southwest corner of Hercules Street and Hesperia Road. The church is located on Hesperia Road with vacant property for the apartment complex to the north along Hercules Street. The property to the south of the church is vacant and there is a large apartment complex adjacent and west of the church. The duplex-fashioned complex includes 14 units in seven single-story buildings with 42 parking spaces, attached two-car garages and 13 guest parking spaces. The apartment complex will have community recreational areas, a playground, picnic tables and barbecue areas with gazebos.
