Love’s Travel Stop and Country Store Planned for Western Hesperia

According to the Victorville Daily Press, July 12, 2015, a new Love’s Travel Stop and Country Store location may be coming to the Victor Valley. The city council approved the Planning Commission’s recommendation to adopt resolutions that would pave the way for the travel hub that is planned for the southeast corner of Outpost Road and Joshua Street in Hesperia. The council discussed the construction of the new 6,756 square foot Love’s Country Store on almost 11-acres, which will include a large fueling station for vehicles and tractor-trailers, a vehicle repair station, a McDonald’s restaurant and a Subway sandwich shop. Mayor Pro Tem Bill Holland predicts the new Love’s will generate a half-million dollars in yearly sales tax revenue and will create hundreds of jobs. Once completed, Love’s will join the area’s park and ride lot, the Outpost Cafe and Truck Stop, Wendy’s restaurant, a San Bernardino County Fire Station and other several businesses. “The Love’s station is going to change the economic and transportation landscape of that entire area,” Holland said.
