Looking Over Project Plans

Two Key Adelanto Corridors in Line for $3M Overhaul

As stated in an article in the Victorville Daily Press, June 20, 2018, Adelanto city officials are embarking on the major rehabilitation of two key corridors in the city, Adelanto and Rancho roads, expected to begin serious movement in fall 2018, according to city spokesman Michael Stevens. The plans call for makeovers to Adelanto Road — starting at Highway 395 to the south and north to Ballpark Storage units near the city-owned stadium — and to Rancho Road, from Adelanto Road to Bellflower Street. Weather permitting, groundbreaking could occur in the late winter or early spring 2019 on construction for the $3 million effort, Stevens said, which could be completed in as little as a month. Sampling has already been completed to test the soil and verify asphalt thickness, and plans and specifications are expected to be completed fall 2018. On Rancho Road, the upper few inches of asphalt will be ground up and recycled into new asphalt to repave the street, potentially as westward as Aster Road if sufficient funds exist.
