Vote Clears Path for Walmart Supercenter in Apple Valley

According to the Victorville Daily Press, October 25, 2017, in a unanimous vote, the Apple Valley Town Council cleared a path for Walmart to build a supercenter here, but the company’s plans remain unknown after the move. The Council’s 5-0 decision adopted an initiative that established the “Dale Evans Parkway Commercial Specific Plan” and, effectively, placed the ball in Walmart’s court for a move on development. “We are pleased that the Council approved this project,” company spokesperson Tiffany Wilson told the Daily Press. “We look forward to providing updates at a future date.”
